The 23rd National Electrochemical Conference of the Chinese Chemical Society was held from November 7 to 10, 2025, in Wuhan, China. The grand opening ceremony took place on the morning of November 8, attracting nearly 4,000 participants and creating an unprecedented gathering.

Co-organized by the Electrochemical Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society and Wuhan University, the conference was jointly hosted by Wuhan University, EVE Energy Co., Ltd., and Hunan Corun New Energy Co., Ltd. It was co-supported by the CAS-Hong Kong Joint Laboratory for Hydrogen Energy and the Hubei Key Laboratory of Materials and Technologies for Electrochemical Power Sources. The theme of this year’s conference was “Electrochemistry for the Integrated Development of Education, Science and Technology, and Talent.” The event also honored the 100th anniversary of the birth of Professor Zha Quanxing.

As the largest and most comprehensive academic event in electrochemistry in China, the conference provided a high-level platform for academic exchange. It focused on fundamental, applied, and cutting-edge issues in electrochemical science and technology, showcased the latest research progress and achievements in the field, and facilitated in-depth discussions on opportunities, challenges, and future directions. The conference aimed to advance the discipline, strengthen research collaboration and technology transfer, and promote the application of electrochemistry in critical areas such as energy, environment, and materials.
